Your dismissal pit, of course. Allow me to sit with you while you write, free of judgement. And I could do with an extra set of ears for my own writing anyway, my room mates are quite useless when it comes to understanding and critiquing my musical process.
When creative minds like ours come together it's quite beautiful.

Alone, yes. Alone in a crowd is still alone, but I prefer to be estranged from the noise.
I don't mind listening to your work, but sharing my own would be asking too much of me.

Then do not share, merely create in the same space. In silence if you must.

Does that mean you've managed to find your footing well enough already?

I have absolutely no clue what's going on one day to the next. That's not much different from normal though. Did it take you long to adjust?

It was a gradual thing; once the major shocks had worn down, the rest eventually fell into place best they could.
Still, there is always something novel or new that pops up in a world this dense; if you can roll with the punches as they say, you ought to manage.

Shocking is one way of putting it. Was your world similar to this?

Oh, hardly. The city I was born and lived in was much more beautiful, quieter, and the air far cleaner by comparison. Much more greenery, no concrete. I don't believe my nose will ever be very comfortable with the foul stink of the vehicles here.

Yes, it is quite the stench, isn't it? But considering some of the smells I've encountered at the shit coated villages and cities I've visited, I'm not certain which is worse.
You had none of those vehicles where you're from then? Most I speak to seem to be familiar with them and all this technology.

Yes, and several will look at you oddly if you find them unnerving.
Considering the state of you when I found you, I assume we're more similarly estranged from all of this. I suppose I can reassure you that you'll find the means to put up with the nonsense; there's actually quite a great deal of convenience to counter it.

I'm actually growing to quite like the things this world has to offer. Hot water especially. Showers are perhaps one of the most marvellous creations I've ever encountered.

Have you encountered "bath bombs" yet?

No! They sound dangerous! But also potentially delightful. Tell me about them.

They're capsules of soap and perfume (and sometimes color) that you put in the bathwater; the results can be quite incredible. I recommend it, should you prefer a soak over the shower.

Oh, I love a soak. Steaming hot water with a bit of salt, chamomile, rosemary and sage. Soothes almost any ailment the body might have. Sounds like, I'll have to try these bath bombs, see if the add up.

I can't speak to their healing properties beyond peace of mind, I'm afraid; don't go in expecting too much, and you may find the low bar cleared rather quickly. It's the mindset that works best in a place full of unknowns and oddities like this.

Except murder. And general suffering, that's not exactly joyful either. But I'm sure you understand my point.
